We have a way to measure our actual progress. It is called An Examination of Conscience. When Eve and Adam learned the difference between Good and Evil, that Spirit of Discernment was also activated. It became their consciences and is part of the curse and gift we received from them: Free Will.
I do not have a way to credit the authors of these documents, but I most heartily endorse them, and encourage frequent use of the M.A.P. and the Sacrament of Reconciliation – still referred to by many as “confession.”
